I was going to entitle this “33 weeks” but smaller numbers at this point are more exciting! I had another OB appointment this week, which are now scheduled every other week, and everything is looking good–blood pressure, belly measurement, baby’s heartrate. I feel the baby moving quite a bit more nowadays, which alternates between being extremely cute and very reassuring to pretty uncomfortable and kind of annoying. Rubbing my belly seems to get him moving and he still likes to hang out on the right side for the most part, but he’s definitely growing and stretching out because I’m also feeling small fluttering movements from my pelvis to my ribs and all the way across. On the downside, I can tell my energy levels are beginning to wane and no position is comfortable for very long, sitting or lying down. Luckily I’m still sleeping relatively well, even though I do wake up to switch positions every 1.5 to 2 hours.
This coming week is going to be pretty exciting. Mike just completed the ChesapeakeMan Ultra Triathlon in Cambridge, MD today where he posted a personal record of 10 hours, 5 minutes! He’ll be coming home on Monday where I can finally get him all to myself again… at least for a few months! Then later this week we’ve got family coming in for my baby shower on Saturday! Babcie and Aunt Jessica are coming in on Wednesday and Lola and Tita Stephanie are coming on Thursday. I can’t wait to see them all!
