What’s worse than two more top teeth coming in at the same time? How about an infection in both of your ears too?
He’s been such a trooper though. He started off on Monday in a fantastic mood. Tuesday he got a little fussy and had a slight fever, which coincided with the first sighting of new teeth on either side of the top front ones. Wednesday he was sent home from daycare with a really high fever, yet was still playful and active once we got the fever down. And on Thursday he was extremely fussy, would not nap, and started rubbing at his jaw and ear, yet the thermometer barely registered an elevated temperature. But as Mike called, the “Mom-mometer” registered a major problem and I called in for a doctor’s appointment where we confirmed a double ear infection and got a prescription for antibiotics and eardrops to numb the area. We had a slightly better night’s sleep last night and Cooper has already eaten normally and is currently taking a well-deserved nap today. Looking forward to getting our happy baby back!
